About reCONNECT Series
The genesis of reCONNECT, stemming from the imagination of literature and sound in 2020, aims to bring together literary figures, musicians, and new media artists from Taiwan and around the world to create an international production. To craft not merely from the technological perspective, but what we are facing and experiencing in this moment, thus emerged the creative development project of reCONNECT. In addition to the original creative intention, Dimension Plus has been continuously contemplating the reconnection of vintage media in the process of technological art development. It aims to bridge different generations and diverse fields. In the face of the development trajectory of human technology and art, there are unique perspectives and artistic forms across generations. However, the core values are closely linked. Thus, we pay homage to the exploration of our predecessors, maintain interdisciplinary collaborative communication, and continue the dialogue across regions and generations.
So we began reCONNECT Nam June Paik, Roy Ascott, Mario Costa. reCONNECT Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, United Kingdom. reCONNECT writers, musicians, producers, musicians, dancers, singers, engineers, artists. An infinite reCONNECT of creation.

"reCONNECT 2023 : BORDERLESS CANVAS'' invites artists to utilize 5G technology as the core, collectively showcasing the diversity of immersive performances and the immediacy of remote collaboration. Inspired by real-time streaming, the artist 9Grid Design blends performers' images with live streams from two different locations, blending abstract visuals with the natural environment, blurring the physical barriers of space. Taiwanese artist HHH and Italian artist Synthiola engage in remote collaboration between Taiwan and Germany, leveraging 5G to overcome constraints of time and space, incorporating AI to create avant-garde forms of performance. Dimension Plus employs real-time cloud computing to derive, reconstruct, and dissolve architecture and street scenes from Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, mapping the fractured and intricate memories of the era into an infinite folding and unfolding panorama.
"reCONNECT 2023 : BORDERLESS CANVAS'' uses the "5G Cloud Computing Platform" in real-time computing with audiovisual presentation. "5G Cloud Computing Platform" eases the heavy burdens that are hidden behind the exquisite aesthetic of computing, meantime, interlinking the fields of audiovisual-experiment.
